Busy in Vienna

Oopsie, it's hard to believe that two days have gone by without a blog post updating you about my adventures in Vienna!

Wednesday Jayde and I started off the morning at Blue Orange cafe (again) due to their delicious bagels and out-of-this-world vanilla chai lattes! Yes mom, I now like chai! ;) We then went into the city center to try and see if we could wire money back to the U.S. It is indeed possible, but we would've had to convert our dollars to euros and would have lost almost $100 in the transfer. After this disappointing venture we stopped into Cafe Mozart so I could eye even more gluten free treats!

Grabbing a quick tram back to our flat, we then headed to Belvedere Palace to meet our Canadian friends who spent the first part of vacation in Munich at Oktoberfest. Just as beautiful the second time around!

As a group we then made our way back to the city center to grab some coffees and catch up on each other's adventures. We also stopped into a local Australian pub, which had quick the interesting decor.

At 5pm the ladies dropped me off at St. Peter's church so I could attend Mass. What a beautiful place! I already posted some pictures, but I really can't get over how stunning the church is. We the grabbed some street bratwursts before making our way to the hostel where the other girls are staying. We sat and chatted there for a couple of hours before going back to our flat for the night.

Thursday began with another trip to Blue Orange (just for vanilla chai lattes this time though) and more shopping at Naschmarkt.

Jayde and I then began the trek into the city center back to Pizzeria Scarabocchio for our lunch reservations. YUM. We both ordered pasta this time, and it was even better than the pizzas from earlier in the week! I even ordered gluten free tiramisu to go because I was so full, but didn't want to miss out on its deliciousness ;)

After a tad more touristy shopping, we went back to our flat to drop off our purchases and rest for a bit. With power naps fueling us, we hopped on a tram to head to Prater Park. There we wandered around the food tents, saw lots of interesting attire, and enjoyed a leisurely Ferris wheel ride!

Definitely the perfect end to one of our last nights in Vienna! :)
